Meet Skye!

Hailing from Michigan, Skye is a proud actor, comedian, and playwright. She's a recent graduate of Wright State University's BFA Acting program! She's focused her studies on writing, comedy, and crafted performance work.

Skye is passionate about female-driven queer storytelling and bringing three dimensionality to every character she plays, from Shakespeare to Hamill.

Skye likes to think of herself as a storyteller first!

My name is Skye Hodgkin. I was the first girl in middle school to join the Dungeons and Dragons club (please ask me about the stat block of a Gelatinous Cube or TTRPGS in general!)

I spent most of my childhood playing alone in the woods, making up grand stories, and having secret crushes on my girl best friends. Not much has changed.

As an actor, my bread and butter is contemporary theatre and fresh reimaginings of period pieces. I love playing (and writing) clever, quick, comic women.

In my playwriting I tell female driven stories about the modern sapphic;

I am ardently against this trend in popular queer media where the lesbians must die at the end of the play. Queer women are not caricatures, we are people. And thus, characters are not caricatures, they are people. I believe they must be written and represented as such.
